London – 3 February 2010
: hybris (www.hybris.com), a leading multi-channel commerce and communication software vendor, today announced that Norgren, a global provider of fluid and pneumatic motion technologies, has extended its use of the hybris Product Information Management solution into the US market.

Leveraging work already underway in Europe, the decision to extend the use of hybris into the US is the next step in Norgren’s long term strategy to replace legacy systems and disparate data sources with a common source of data, creating a single repository for all product data across the globe. Norgren has already created a central spine of product data for the Norgren Express range of fast moving products in Europe which will be extended with localised data about US measurements, for example.

Karin Catton, CIO at Norgren said: “With such a large range of products available from our catalogue and web stores, the need to centralise the maintenance and management of complex data across all channels is imperative. Our initial decision to invest in hybris was based on its proven track record as a premium PIM platform with a broad range of functionality, ease of use and adaptability to support complex processes.”
